El Mortal Kombat project es un juego basado en MK3/UMK3/Trilogy, hecho por fans, utilizado el motor de juegos de lucha 2D conocido como MUGEN. Esta beta cuenta con casi todos los personajes aparecidos hasta el MK trilogy, mas uno inédito: Hydro, y los stages de toda la saga 2D, además de nuevas ediciones a nivel gráfico. Si bien no todos los personajes lo tienen, hay nuevos movimientos y fatales no vistos en las versiones originales (desde nuevas fatales hasta Hara Kiri en Striker e Hydro). No es la versión final. There is a new skin class, XfireView, which can be used to display all of the list views for the application. A skin which uses the XfireView class should NOT include a BuddyListView, ServerView or DownloadView class.
